His master’s research analyzed the political dynamics of decisions by the 2nd Region Labor Court in contemporary cases of labor analogous to slavery. ADA ORDOR (UNIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN – SOUTH AFRICA)
Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Comparative Law in Africa (CCLA) at the Faculty of Law, University of Cape Town (UCT). She holds an LL.B. from the University of Jos (Nigeria), an LL.M. from the University of Nigeria, a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Cape Town, and completed her postdoctoral research at the Institute of Development and Labour Law at UCT. She is a licensed lawyer with the Nigerian Bar. She has served as a researcher at the Nigerian Law School and the African Gender Institute, was a visiting member of the Institute for Policy Studies at Johns Hopkins University (USA) and the American Association of University Women, and was co-editor of the Journal of Comparative Law in Africa. Since 1990, she has published numerous books and articles on Law and Development, Comparative Law, and Labour Law.

CRISTINA MANGARELLI (UNIVERSIDAD DE LA REPÚBLICA – URUGUAY)
Professor of Labour Law and Social Security Law at the Faculty of Law of Universidad de la República and Universidad de Montevideo, Uruguay. She holds a Ph.D. in Law and Social Sciences and a Master’s degree in Labour Law and Social Security from Universidad de la República. A researcher affiliated with the Ibero-American Academy of Labour Law and Social Security, she is the author of various books and articles on Labour Law and has participated in conferences across South America, Europe, and Oceania.

ELIZABETH TIPPETT (UNIVERSITY OF OREGON – UNITED STATES OF AMERICA)
Associate Professor of Labour Law, Consumer Law, and Negotiation, Co-Director of the Conflict & Dispute Resolution Master’s Program, and Associate Faculty at the Center for Cyber Security and Privacy, all at the University of Oregon School of Law. She holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Social Studies from Harvard College. She is licensed to practice law in Oregon, California, New York, and before the U.S. Supreme Court. She previously worked as an Associate Attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (Palo Alto and New York), as a researcher at the Center for Labor and Employment Law at New York University, and as a Teaching & Research Assistant at Harvard Law School. She is the author of numerous books, articles, and interviews on Labour Law, Employment Relations, Corporate Governance, and legal practice more broadly, and has lectured at several universities in the U.S. and the U.K.

EVANCE KALULA (UNIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN – SOUTH AFRICA)
Emeritus Professor of Labour Law and Social Security at the Faculty of Law, University of Cape Town. He holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Warwick (U.K.) and an LL.M. from King's College, University of London. He is Chair of the Committee on Freedom of Association, a member and advisor of the Academy of Science of South Africa, a member of the Ministerial Advisory Council on Economic Affairs at the South African Department of Economic Development, and a member of the African Academy of Sciences (AAS). He is a former president of the International Labour and Employment Relations Association (ILERA), a member of the Advisory Board of the Labour Law and Development Research Laboratory at McGill University (Canada), and Chair of the ILO’s Commission on Working Conditions in South Africa. He has served as a consultant and expert for various governments and international organizations including the Zambian government, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and the U.S. Department of Labor. He has authored numerous works and articles on labour market regulation, social security, labour relations in South Africa, and comparative international labour law.

FRANCESC PÉREZ AMORÓS (AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF BARCELONA – SPAIN)
Full Professor of Labour Law and Social Security Law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. He holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Barcelona and an honorary doctorate from Universidad Paulo Freire (Nicaragua). He serves as Arbitrator at the Catalonia Labour Tribunal, Vice President of the Asociación Iberoamericana de Derecho del Trabajo y de la Seguridad Social (AIDTSS) and of the Asociación Iberoamericana de Juristas del Derecho del Trabajo y Seguridad Social (AIJDTSS), and is a member of the Scientific Committee of CIELO (International Community for Labour and Occupational Studies). He is also a researcher with the group “Workers and Immigration” and the Institut d'Estudis del Treball, both at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has been a visiting professor at several Latin American universities and has authored various books and articles on Labour Law and Social Security.

FRANCK HÉAS (UNIVERSITY OF NANTES – FRANCE)
Professor of Social and Labour Law, Vice Dean, and Internship Coordinator for the Master’s Program at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, University of Nantes, France. He holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Nantes and is a specialist in Social and Labour Law. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the international network CIELO (Communauté pour la recherche et les études sur le travail et le champ professionnel), as well as of the Santé et Travail journal and the Revue internationale sur le travail et la société at the University of Quebec (Canada). He has co-led the Travail et Solidarités team of the Droit et Changement Social research laboratory at the University of Nantes, was an elected member of the Conseil National des Universités (CNU) in France, a guest expert for the Conseil Économique et Social de Bretagne, and has been a visiting professor at Faculdade São Judas Tadeu in São Paulo, Brazil. He has authored numerous works and articles on Labour and Social Security Law.

JOÃO LEAL AMADO (UNIVERSITY OF COIMBRA – PORTUGAL)

Associate Professor of Labour Law at the University of Coimbra. He holds a PhD and an LLM in Business Legal Sciences from the University of Coimbra. He is a member of the board of APODIT – Portuguese Association of Labour Law, Vice-President of the board of IDET – Institute of Corporate and Labour Law, and member of the management of JUTRA – Luso-Brazilian Association of Labour Jurists. He is also on the list of chair arbitrators of the Economic and Social Council, a member of the editorial board of the journal Questões Laborais, and an editor of the Revista de Legislação e de Jurisprudência. He is the author of several works and articles on Labour Law.

JORGE ROSENBAUM RIMOLO (UDELAR – URUGUAY)
Full Professor of Individual and Collective Labor Law and Social Security (Level 5) at the Faculty of Law and of Legislation and Industrial Relations at the Faculty of Engineering, both at the Universidad de la República (UDELAR) in Montevideo, Uruguay. Academic Director of Labor and Social Security Law and Collective Labor Law at the Graduate School and the Faculty of Law at UDELAR. Secretary General of Fundación Electra, dedicated to promoting the scientific study of Labor and Social Security Law (2010–present). Holds a PhD in Law and Social Sciences from UDELAR (1975), and has worked as a consultant for the ILO in various areas, including standards, projects, research, and training in Labor Law. He also served as an advisor for the ILO’s RELASUR Program in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Spain (1993–1995). Author of numerous books and articles on Labor Law, Social Security, and Labor Relations.

JUAN PABLO MUGNOLO (UNIVERSITY OF BUENOS AIRES – ARGENTINA)
Full Professor of Labor and Social Security Law at the Universidad de San Andrés and Associate Regular Professor of Labor and Social Security Law at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Holds a PhD in Law from the University of Granada, Spain, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Member of the Editorial Committee of Revista Pensar en Derecho, of the Editorial Board of the Revista Internacional y Comparada en Relaciones Laborales y Derecho del Empleo, as well as an active member of the Asociación Argentina de Derecho del Trabajo y la Seguridad Social, and member of the Judicial Council in Buenos Aires. He has worked as an advisor in various departments of the Ministerio de Trabajo, Empleo y Formación de Recursos Humanos de la Nación (Argentina’s Ministry of Labor), and served as Director of Academic Affairs at the University of Buenos Aires. Author of several books, treatises, and articles on Labor and Social Security Law.

MARÍA CRISTINA GAJARDO HARBOE (UNIVERSITY OF CHILE)
Attorney of the Chilean Supreme Court (2018–2021) and Director of the Graduate School at the University of Chile. Holds a PhD in Law from the University of Chile and the University of Seville (2017), a Master’s Degree in Planning and Tax Management from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (2005), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the University of Chile (1986). Former Director of the Sociedad Chilena del Derecho del Trabajo y de la Seguridad Social (2011–2017) and attorney of the Santiago Court of Appeals (2012–2014). Author of various books and articles on labor-related issues.

MARIO GARMENDIA ARIGÓN (UNIVERSIDAD DE LA REPÚBLICA – URUGUAY)
Dean Professor of Labor and Social Security Law at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay, and at the Centro Latinoamericano de Economía Humana (CLAEH) in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Holds a PhD in Law and Social Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Labor and Social Security Law from the Faculty of Law at Universidad de la República. Editor of the journal Derecho del Trabajo (La Ley Uruguay – Thomson Reuters), member of the International Editorial Board of the Magister Journal of Labor Law, and of the Editorial Board of the journal of the Regional Labor Court of the 15th Region (Campinas, SP, Brazil). Also a corresponding member of the Brazilian National Academy of Labor Law. Author and co-author of numerous works on Labor and Social Security Law.

MARTHA ELISA MONSALVE CUELLAR (UNIVERSIDAD LA GRAN COLOMBIA – COLOMBIA)
Professor of Labor and Social Security Law in the Graduate Program of the Faculty of Law at Universidad La Gran Colombia. Holds a PhD in Law and Political Science from Universidad La Gran Colombia, an Honorary Doctorate in Social and Political Sciences from Universidad Paulo Freire (Nicaragua), and a specialization in Labor Law, Industrial Relations, and Social Security. Member of the Asociación Iberoamericana de Juristas de Derecho del Trabajo y de la Seguridad Social Guillermo Cabanellas, the Asociación Internacional de Relaciones del Trabajo, and President of the Instituto Latinoamericano de Derecho del Trabajo y de la Seguridad Social (ILTRASS). Speaker at numerous conferences and events on Labor Law, Employment Relations, and Social Security worldwide. Author of several works and articles on labor-related topics.

PEDRO ROMANO MARTINEZ (UNIVERSITY OF LISBON – PORTUGAL)
Full Professor of Labor Law in the Graduate Program at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. Holds a Master’s and a PhD in Law from the Catholic University of Lisbon. Since 1989, he has authored numerous works on Labor and Social Security Law, Civil Law and Civil Procedure, and Public International Law.

RAÚL SACO BARRIOS (PONTIFICAL CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY OF PERU)
Professor of Labor Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and at the Judiciary Academy. Holds a Master’s Degree in Labor Relations from PUCP, and is a lawyer specialized in Labor Affairs and an officially accredited Extrajudicial Conciliator by the Ministry of Justice of Peru. Member of the Asociación Iberoamericana de Juristas del Derecho del Trabajo y Seguridad Social (AIJDTSS), the Instituto Latinoamericano de Derecho del Trabajo y de la Seguridad Social (ILTRAS), the Scientific Committee of CIELO (Comunidad Internacional para el Estudio Laboral y Ocupacional), and of the Sociedad Peruana de Derecho del Trabajo y de la Seguridad Social (SPDTSS). Former staff member of the Ministry of Labor and Social Promotion of Peru (currently the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion) and researcher at the Instituto de Estudios del Trabajo (IET). Author of several publications on Labor Law and Labor Relations.

SANTIAGO GONZÁLEZ ORTEGA (PABLO DE OLAVIDE UNIVERSITY OF SEVILLE – SPAIN)
Professor of Labor and Social Security Law at the Pablo de Olavide University of Seville, Spain (since 2005), and at the University of Nantes, France (since 2013). He has previously taught Labor and Social Security Law at the Universities of Málaga (1986–1989), Seville (1989–1992), and Carlos III of Madrid (1992–2005), and served as associate professor at the University of Paris X (Nanterre-La Défense) from 1995 to 2011. Holds a PhD in Law from the University of Bologna, Italy, and a Law Degree from the University of Seville (1968–1973). Former Director of the Departments of Private Law and Social and Private International Law (1996–2003), as well as of the “Juan Luis Vives” Research Institute on Social Security (1996–2005), all at Carlos III University of Madrid. Currently heads the Labor Law area at Pablo de Olavide University. Author of numerous publications and scientific works on Labor and Social Security Law.
